Have a FANG-TASTIC time in Dungannon this Halloween!

12 October 2017

Dungannon will be bursting with great events to sink your fangs into this Halloween, with a spooktacular programme of fun and frolics for all the family to enjoy on Friday 27th October!

The fun kicks-off with free Halloween Freaky Tales and art workshop sessions taking place at Dungannon Library and Ranfurly House from 1.30pm – 3.15pm for 4-7 year olds and from 3 – 4.45pm for 8-11 year olds. (Booking Essential by contacting Ranfurly House on 028 8772 8600.)

Get your little terrors in the Halloween spirit by bringing them to the drop-in Make Your Own Flying Bat Sculptures workshop from 4 – 7pm at Ranfurly House before the mystery of the Hill is revealed!

From 6.30pm the Hill will host spooktacular entertainment to be enjoyed until the night sky lights up with a grand finale fireworks display at 7.45pm. Come along and enjoy ghastly games, mystifying music, freaky face painting, brilliant balloon modelling, and dance along with our scary characters.

Are you brave enough to venture through the mystifying vortex tunnel? Stilt walkers and fire jugglers will certainly help to set the freaky, Halloween mood. A magic show will also take place sure to thrill and amaze all little monsters.

A charity Fire Walk in aid of Muscular Dystrophy will also take place as part of the Halloween festivities in Dungannon. Up to 30 people will put mind over matter and walk across burning coals in an attempt to ‘put the heat’ on muscle wasting conditions that directly affect around 2,000 people in Northern Ireland. The Fire Walk Challenge will commence at 7pm.

For more information on, to take part or donate to the Fire Walk go to: http://www.musculardystrophyuk.org/events/fire-walk-for-muscles/.

Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Kim Ashton is looking forward to an action-packed weekend of Halloween activities in Mid Ulster. “Mid Ulster has everything anyone could want this Halloween- and much more including spectacular fireworks displays in Coalisland, Cookstown, Dungannon and Maghera, sure to thrill and entertain the crowds. With lots of other frightening and fun activities taking place at each site over the weekend it promises to be a truly haunting and hair-raising Halloween!”
