Mid Ulster has been shortlisted in all 9 categories of the 2017 MountainBikeNI awards.
The awards, which are decided by a public vote, recognise everything from a mountain biker’s favourite trail centre to the best mountain trail bike friendly café and, new for 2017, the MountainBikeNI volunteer of the year.
The Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Kim Ashton, is encouraging local people to vote:
“Davagh Forest and Blessingbourne have been building reputations for excellence for their mountain bike trails, and our hospitality sector is working to ensure visiting mountain bikers also have quality places to stop, stay and eat.
“To be shortlisted in each category is a tribute and boost to the work of the tourism sector here and I look forward to the results of the public vote”.
Davagh Forest Trails, the Blessinbourne Estate, The Valley Hotel in Fivemiletown, The Shepherd’s Rest in Draperstown, The Mill Wheel Bar in Cookstown are among the local nominees.
Voting is open until 12pm on Friday 5th January 2018. Vote and provide your email address to be entered into a prize draw to win a Garmin VivoSmart Heart Rate Monitor + GPS Activity Tracker courtesy of Chain Reaction Cycles. To vote click here.
