Mid Ulster District Council is to consult on its final strategy for economic growth.
Next week a series of 3 workshops for local businesses will see the Council present the outcome of its work to create an economic development plan which supports the region’s existing industrial base and retail sectors, while also encouraging growth in emerging scetors.
Councillor Frances Burton, Chair of the Council’s Development Committee which will spearhead the new strategy’s implementation, said:
“In its transition period, Mid Ulster District Council undertook an extensive programme of engagement to make sure that the direction which our research and our evidence indicated we should take, actually married with the views and needs of businesses operating on the ground.
“This final series of workshops is an opportunity for us to talk to our businesses once again before we finalise and begin to implement our new strategy and I would encourage businesses from across our industrial, retail and community sectors to meet with us again”.
The business consultation workshops take place from 7pm to 9pm on:
Tuesday 28 April, Burnavon Theatre, Cookstown
Wednesday 29 April, The Bridewell, Magherafelt
Thursday 30 April, Council Offices, Dungannon
Businesses which would like to attend must reply by Friday 24 April to Deborah Ewing at Mid Ulster District Council, Tel: 03000 132 132, E: email@example.com.
