Kids have a chance to go fishing on the fly this summer with a special week-long angling school at Dungannon Park.
The fishing course at the park’s 12 acre freshwater lake is on offer to children aged 11 and over, and is an opportunity to try out angling and gain some practical experience, all using the expertise of qualified instructors.
The angling course is part of Mid Ulster District Council’s programme of summer activities and Chair of the Council, Councillor Linda Dillon, joined some local children to cast off for the first time:
“Entertaining children, particularly older children, over the summer months is no mean feat and this angling course, with a balance between good fun and learning new skills, is exactly the kind of more unusual activity which will appeal.
“You couldn’t be in a better place than Dungannon Park to try your hand at angling and I have no doubt we’ll have some new fishing enthusiasts when the week is over”.
The angling school takes place in Dungannon Park from Monday 27 July to Friday 31 July from 10am to 2pm daily and is suitable for children aged 11 and over.
The school costs £25.00 for the week and family group discounts are available. For more information and to book, contact Dungannon Park on 028 8772 8690 or email [email protected].
