As the countdown to the end of term begins, Mid Ulster Sports Arena is helping to kick off the summer holidays with a free family fun day (Saturday 27 June).
The free event at the Mid Ulster District Council facility will include GAA Go Games, the Junior Festival of Running in association with Sperrin Harriers and small sided football games.
As well as lots of different sports to try, there will be plenty of entertainment for all the family on offer including face painting, balloon modelling inflatables, a Kids’ Caterpillar Train, arts and crafts, Jumping Clay, a magic show at 3pm, and Boccia to keep the adults entertained too.
Throughout the afternoon, there will also be competitions in the Super Cage for boys and girls (P6-Yr 8) and 2 v 2 in hockey, soccer and Gaelic, which require pre-registration before the day to secure a place.
Councillor Linda Dillon, Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, launching the event said,
“This really is a great family day out with activities which will appeal to young children and those harder to entertain older children – and it’s free which is music to any parent’s ears! I hope everyone enjoys it”.
The free family fun day takes place on Saturday 27 June from 1pm to 4pm at the Mid Ulster Sports Arena. For more information or to register to take part in the competitions contact the arena on 028 8676 7135.
