When it’s time to recycle or find a new use for your old electrical friend, snap a #SelfiEEE before you say goodbye!
ERP (European Recycling Platform) UK has launched a brand new initiative to promote the reuse and recycling of electronics.
The campaign asks people to submit a #SelfiEEE, a photograph of themselves with a broken or unwanted electrical item, and make a pledge to reuse or recycle it.
The idea is to spread the environmental message and encourage the use of local recycling facilities.
As an added incentive, ERP UK will donate £250 each month to one of four charities: the British Heart Foundation; the Furniture Reuse Network; the National Foundation for Youth Music; or the Young People's Trust for the Environment. The four charities were chosen because they support reuse, recycling, music, the protection of the natural environment, and bring benefit to local communities throughout the UK. Each month, the person who submits the winning #SelfiEEE will get to select which charity will receive the donation.
