Town centre businesses have less than 2 weeks to submit applications for up to £10K in funding towards shop improvements.
Mid Ulster District Council’s town centre shop improvement scheme is currently open to eligible businesses, within the designated boundaries of Coalisland, Cookstown, Dungannon, Maghera and Magherafelt, with substantial grant aid of up to £10k available for eligible external and internal works.
Chair of the Council’s Development Committee, Councillor Frances Burton, is encouraging commercial property owners and tenants to consider applying:
“Response to the scheme has been very positive to date, which is not a surprise given we’re offering 50% of the cost of eligible works, up to a maximum of £10,000 per property, to fund internal areas which are visible to the public, as well as improvements to building frontages.
“However, there remains only a short window of opportunity for businesses to get their applications in and I would urge anyone who has not yet considered the opportunity to do so”.
The scheme closes for applications at 4pm on Friday 13th November 2015.
