Over 1000 businesses sign up to Council’s Business Directory

09 June 2016

Over 1000 local businesses have signed up to Mid Ulster District Council’s online Business Directory since in launched in March.

While businesses will be able to register their details at any time in the future, the Council is encouraging all those interested to take advantage and sign up for free as soon as possible.

The directory, due to go online on the Council’s website at the end of June, will be used as a marketing tool to promote Mid Ulster’s business offering and will also allow the Council to keep local businesses up-to-date about funding opportunities and events that may be of interest.

Mid Ulster is the highest performing area in Northern Ireland in terms of entrepreneurial activity, widely recognised as having a strong, diverse and growing business base and acknowledged as one of the premier business locations within Northern Ireland.

The district provides an ideal base for businesses to invest, develop and grow to maximum potential so why not take advantage of this opportunity and put your business on the map!

The registration form for the directory, which simply requires some brief information about your business, should take no more than five minutes to complete and can be done online or submitted as a paper copy.

Former Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Cáthal Mallaghan, feels the directory will prove to be a valuable asset for businesses in the area. He said: “The fact that over 1000 local Mid Ulster businesses have already signed up to the online business directory since it opened in March speaks volumes about it. Clearly businesses see the benefit and value of it and realise the potential it holds to help promote their business and all free of charge!

“I would therefore urge any businesses in the district who still haven’t signed up to the directory to do so now. It is a fantastic tool that should be taken advantage of.”
