Ready, Steady, Scream - It’s Halloween!

20 October 2016

There’s no excuse for any of your little monsters to be bored this Halloween.  Mid Ulster District Council has compiled a jam-packed programme of leisure based activities to help keep your children entertained during the half-term break.

Get set and come join the fun at one of the many Halloween Camps suitable for kids available throughout the district.  Designed to ensure that all children experience high thrills and serious fun in a safe and supervised environment, they offer children and young people the chance to meet people of their own age, learn new skills and activities, take part in various sports, games and social activities', or simply to relax and have fun.

In Cookstown, children can burn off some wicked energy at the Halloween Camp in Mid Ulster Sports Arena on Monday 31st October and Tuesday 1st November, with the option of taking part in an IFA soccer camp suitable for ages 5-13 years or a Gaelic camp suitable for ages 7-12 years. On Friday 28th and Monday 31st October have some spooktacular fun at Cookstown Leisure Centre, suitable for ages 8-11 years with Halloween themed arts and crafts, fun and games and take part in a fancy dress competition.

At Meadowbank Sports Arena Magherafelt on Monday 31st October and Tuesday 1st November, children can sign up for a hockey camp, organised in association with Ulster Hockey and suitable for ages 7-15 years or take part in a Eunan O’Kane Soccer School suitable for ages 6-16 years.

Dare to book into our Halloween scheme at Maghera leisure Centre on Monday 31st October and Tuesday 1st November for some frightful fun and games suitable for ages 6-14 years.  Or take part in the little champions’ sports camp suitable for ages 5-7 years which focuses on agility, balance and coordination.

Have lots of freaky fun at Moneymore Recreation Centre’s Halloween scheme on Monday 31st and Tuesday 1st November.  Children aged 6-14 years can enjoy all things ghostly including fun games and inflatables.

And for young golfing enthusiasts, Tobermore Golf Centre will host a golf camp on Monday 31st October and Tuesday 1st November suitable for all abilities from age 7-16 years.
