The World Wars ‘Seen and Told’

Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Trevor Wilson welcomes World War exhibition ‘Seen and Told’ to the Burnavon, Cookstown.

On display will be a huge collection of memorabilia paying homage to The Great War and World War II, including uniforms, weapons, medals, photos and vehicles.

Councillor Trevor Wilson, Chair of Mid Ulster District Council commented, “It is significant to have this exhibition here at the Burnavon in 2016 as we remember the Decade of Anniversaries (1912-1923). I’d like to thank the History groups involved including Friends of the Somme, Dungannon Branch; Lisbellaw & South Fermanagh World War One Society and Orchard County Wartime Wonders for creating this excellent exhibition. I encourage everyone to come along and enjoy a little bit of our history.”

The Exhibition is free to enjoy and will be on display in the Burnavon from Thursday 22nd September to Saturday 24th September. Times vary from, 3pm-7pm on Thursday, 2pm-8pm on Friday and 10am-5pm on Saturday.
