Nearly 4000 people attended the Enchanted Garden event at Maghera Walled Garden at the weekend!
The free family fun day, which was organised by Mid Ulster District Council, took place on Saturday past, 26 August, and involved a magical takeover by elves and fairies at Maghera Walled Garden from 12pm – 4pm.
Activities on the day included: fairy tales by Strawberry the Summer Fairy under the Whispering Tree, visiting the fairy village complete with hotel, campsite and music festival, face painting, glitter tattoos, balloon modelling, a games area, craft making (including fairy wand and elf hat making), and planting your own fairy or elf garden!
There were also plenty of sweet-treats available on the day as well as a BBQ which was provided by St Lurach’s Church.
Parking was not a problem either as a free Park and Ride service operated from the Maghera High School site throughout the afternoon.
A magical day was definitely had by all who attended.
