The Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Kim Ashton, is urging local people to vote for their favourite local visitor attraction – and be in with the chance of winning flights to London!
The 2017 Northern Ireland Travel and Tourism awards have opened for nominations from members of the public, with the opportunity to vote for the Visitor Attraction of the Year as well as a range of other categories, including Best Tourist Information Centre.
Councillor Ashton said:
“Mid Ulster boasts a range of attractions with appeal to visitors who would like to enjoy everything from cultural and heritage sites like the Hill of the O’Neill and Ranfurly House or Seamus Heaney HomePlace to great outdoor venues where you can relax and revive in the great outdoors, or if you have the energy, participate in a wide variety of exciting things to do in the many outdoor activity centres in Mid Ulster.
“I’d be delighted to see some of local people’s favourites receiving nominations and the chance to win a trip to London is an added reason to vote!”
