This series of talks is organised in collaboration with the “The Cineál Eoghain Council / Comhairle Chineál Eoghain” research and history organisation and will run for the coming six months.
 
The Cineál Eoghain Council / Comhairle Chineál Eoghainwas set up to promote research and disseminate the history, culture and traditions of the ancient “Cineál Eoghain” clans of Ulster and to reconnect people within Ulster and all over the world with this history and culture in a meaningful and educational way.   
 
This introductory series of talks will look at a range of interesting aspects to pre-plantation society and they will consist of a presentation by a number of eminent speakers on their subjects, followed by a question and answer session.  
 

DR MALACHY Ó NÉILL, Provost of Ulster University’s Magee Campus in Derry will examine a number of Irish Language sources that relate to the O’Neill dynasty and to Hugh O’Neill in particular

This talk will be delivered in Irish.
