Start your Vegetable Seeds indoors Workshop - Tuesday 20 February from 10.30 am to 12noon
Learn different methods of seed propagation suitable for raising plants in a polytunnel or on the window sill.
Start your own seedlings of different varieties of vegetables to take home.
Growing Herbs Workshop - Tuesday 6 March from 10.30am to 12noon
Learn to grow a range of herbs and get tips for their culinary uses.
Planting Workshop - Tuesday 20 March from 10.30 to 12noon
This workshop will focus on container planting and growing fruit and veg even in the smallest of spaces.
Get to grips with thinning out and potting on your seedlings and plant your own tasty spuds.
These workshops are part of a new Five-A-Day Allotments Growing Project run by Mid Ulster District Council in conjunction with Groundwork NI and The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) at a number of allotment sites in the wider Magherafelt area. The project is funded by the Northern Obesity Partnership. Castledawson Allotments are situated at Park View, Castledawson, BT45 8AT.
