In this four week course, you will explore the techniques and processes in using Sepia and Burnt Sienna. With an objective of producing a finished composition of a derelict farm house, based on my work. The first session could work on tones and shades, moving on to composition, drawing skills, if possible, stretching water colour paper, in preparation for the final painting.
The technique of using just 2 colours was initially an experiment but one that seems to enhance the content of my work and it's continues to evolve. I was admitted to the Ulster Water Colour Society in 2008 and am fortunate to have my work in various galleries here in Northern Ireland and the Republic. In 2015 I retired from teaching after 35 years and am now concentrating on my painting. I regularly visit Art Societies across the country for demonstrations and teach classes as part of Local Councils Art provision.
Last year I displayed at the National Craft and Design Fair at the RDS in Dublin.
