Families in Mid Ulster are invited to join a delightful day of family fun and buying and selling pre-loved items at the Meadowbank Arena on June 15th.

The event promises an exciting array of activities, fostering community engagement and sustainable living practices.

Hosted by Mid Ulster District Council, the Family Fayre and Pre-Loved Sale Event aims to promote environmental consciousness while providing a platform for families to bond and enjoy quality time together. This inclusive event caters to all ages, offering something enjoyable for everyone.

From 11am to 2pm on Saturday 15 June, Meadowbank Arena will transform into a bustling hub of excitement, featuring:

Pre-Loved Sale Zone: Bring your gently used toys, clothes, and other baby and children’s items to sell, it’s a fantastic opportunity to declutter your home sustainably while discovering treasures others no longer need.

Play Area: Let the little ones unleash their energy in a dedicated play zone filled with bouncy castles, face painting, and arts & crafts activities.

Demonstrations: Engage in hands-on demonstrations focused on families, and other demos concentrating on eco-friendly practices, upcycling, and sustainable living. Learn practical tips and tricks to reduce waste and live more harmoniously with the environment. There will also be live demonstrations from Greenvale Leisure Centre showcasing family classes that are on offer.

Chair of the Council, Councillor Dominic Molloy told us:

"We're thrilled to bring the Family Fayre and Pre-Loved Sale Event to Meadowbank Arena, It's a fantastic opportunity for families to come together, have fun, and contribute to a more sustainable future. We encourage everyone to join us for a day of swapping, playing, and making memories.

It's more than just a Fayre and Pre-Loved Sale event; it's a celebration of family, community, and sustainability, giving local families the chance to save money on everyday items such as preloved children’s clothes, prams, and baby items which gives you the chance to ‘reuse and recycle’ but it also helps families to save a lot of money on items that they may struggle to afford for their ever-growing families.

Entry to the event is free, and if you would like to book a table to sell your preloved family and baby items the cost is only £10.

The event will ensure that families of all sizes can come together for a day of fun without breaking the bank.

Don't miss out on this exciting community event! Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 15th and head to Meadowbank Arena for a day of family-friendly fun. For more information and updates check out the council's social media pages.
