Expressions of Interest Proposed Maghera Business Park

Mid Ulster District Council invites businesses to submit expressions of interest in serviced sites at a proposed new business park located at Tobermore Road, Maghera.

The land on the Tobermore Road has been earmarked as an industrial site to address a gap in the availability of industrial land locally and to meet an identified demand from local businesses. The geographical location of the site is unique, situated directly adjacent to the North-South-East-West axis of the main arterial A29 and A6 roads. This attractive gateway site owned by the Council will provide a number of serviced sites ranging from approximately 0.5 acres to 2 acres in a carefully masterplanned environment.

It is envisaged that the sites will be developed by qualifying businesses for light industrial use, offices, and storage and distribution (planning use classes B1, B2 and B4).

The Council has already submitted a ‘Proposal of Application Notice’ (PAN), signalling its intention to apply for planning permission on the site, and is currently also engaged in a 12 week period of community consultation. Subject to securing planning approval it is anticipated that construction works will commence early 2019.

At this stage the Council is unable to provide a potential price per site until all required ground investigations have been completed.

Expression of Interest forms and the Specimen Footprint Drawing can be  downloaded via the Related Documents section below.

Completed forms and footprint drawings should be returned, by email to: maghera.development@midulstercouncil.org or alternatively by post to:
