It's a community Christmas at HomePlace

01 December 2016
Christmas celebrations at Seamus Heaney HomePlace in Bellaghy will have a community focus as the new literary centre prepares to mark the close of 2016.
HomePlace will host an afternoon of free family entertainment on Sunday 18th December, with pop-in festive-themed art workshops for children running from 1.30pm and suitable for children of all ages.
Kids can have a go at making their own Christmas decorations, all with the expert input from Clare and Ngaire, experienced art tutors with Red Apple Arts, while master story-teller, Liz Weir, brings a festive flavour to Christmas tales with 30 minute sessions at 2.15pm and at 3.45pm.
Pupils from four local primary schools will also be performing, with a yuletide showcase from St Mary’s Primary School and Anahorish Primary School at 1.30pm, and carol singing by Bellaghy Primary School and St John Bosco Primary School at 3pm.
And children can post their letters to Santa right up until Christmas Eve in the special post box at HomePlace.
Booking isn’t required and all activities are free. For more information contact Seamus Heaney HomePlace on 028 7938 7444 or visit www.seamusheaneyhome.com.
