A series of Lakeside & Loughside summer concerts will take place across the district as part of Mid Ulster District Council’s Music Month, kicking off on 31 July.
Four days of musical entertainment will take place on 31 July, 7, 14 and 21 August 2016 from 3pm - 4.30pm each day. Each concert is free to attend and offers a musical treat at each location on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
On 31 July concerts will be held at Ballyronan Marina, Dungannon Park and Round Lake, Fivemiletown. On 7 August concerts will be held at Dungannon Park and Ballyronan Marina only. On 14 August one concert will be held at Dungannon Park, and on 21 August concerts will be held at Dungannon Park and Ballyronan Marina.
Dungannon Silver Band, Murley Silver Band, Bowana and Four Counties youth band, are only a few of the acts that can be enjoyed at the Lakeside & Loughside summer concerts.
Launching the summer concerts, Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Trevor Wilson said: “We are fortunate to have such fantastic Lakeside & Loughside locations in Mid Ulster. It’s great to see them be used to provide outdoor musical entertainment for all the family. The concerts are free to attend so what better way to spend your Sunday afternoon.”
Other events that can be enjoyed during Mid Ulster’s Music Month include Battle of the Buskers, Pop in the Park and Picnic in the Park.
