Applying for grants from Mid Ulster District Council is being made simpler, with a new online application process.
When the new programme opens on Thursday 2 March, groups from across the voluntary and community sector will be able to complete the entire application process via the Council’s web site.
Grants will again be available in 12 categories, covering community development activities, arts and culture, festivals, events and good relations.
Welcoming the new approach, Chair of the Council, Councillor Trevor Wilson, said:
“Moving to an on-line system is a positive step which aims to make the application process more accessible and allow us to work more efficiently also.
“However, we do know that there may be some applicants who may experience some difficulty with access to the internet or who may not be confident with their IT skills, and we are here to help with queries regarding the on line form or any problems people may have with accessing it on the internet”.
The grant categories are:
• Arts & Culture
• Community Development Small Grant
• Community Venues
• Sports Development Small Grant
• Strategic Community Development
• Strategic Events
• Sports Representative Individuals and Teams (rolling programme)
• Community Festivals (rolling programme)
• Good Relations (rolling programme)
The funding programme opens on Thursday 2 March 2017 and closes on Monday 20 March 2017 at 3pm. The on-line grant system will be accessible from that date by clicking here.
