Discover Peter’s Tales & Trails as Peter the playful Rabbit and friends take over Maghera Walled Garden for lots of fun, games and mischief, on Saturday 8 September from 11am-4pm.
The FREE family fun day will offer a jam-packed programme of entertainment and activities, for everyone to enjoy in the beautiful surroundings of the Walled Garden.
On arrival you will be given a clue sheet to complete Peter’s Trail, visiting the many interactive areas in the garden to find the answers.
A live kid’s theatre show, storytelling under the oak trees, sports day games, face painting and messy play are among many of the exciting activities to keep the whole family entertained. You may even spot a real rabbit or two!
If you’re feeling peckish, we have you covered with a delicious BBQ, sweet treats and hot and cold drinks to complete the day.
Speaking about the event at the Walled Garden, Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Sean McPeake, said: “We are extremely fortunate to have such a breath-taking facility located in our council area and I am delighted to see the Walled Garden being used to host fun, family-oriented events. The day promises to be one not to be missed with activities to keep the whole family entertained and of course a visit from Peter, the mischievous Rabbit himself. Last year’s event was incredibly busy with record crowds in attendance, and we are expecting the same again this year.”
This event takes place on Saturday 8 September 2018 from 11am to 4pm and is free of charge for all the family. A free park and ride facility will also be available from the old Maghera High School site.
