Gortgonis Leisure: Consultation
The Council is proposing to re-develop the existing Gortgonis leisure facility in Coalisland.
The proposals aim to enhance dryside facilities at Gortgonis to provide additional resources for local people and address the needs of clubs in the area, and to establish the facility as a Community Hub assisting in the delivery of health and well being programmes at a local level.
The proposed works include: fully accessible Leisure Centre building incorporating changing rooms, meeting rooms, gym and public toilets. Outdoor facilities will include a running track, 3G pitch, walkways, play park and car parking.
A “Proposal of Application Notice” (PAN) has been submitted to Planning, in advance of the Council applying for full planning permission and community consultation has begun (Monday 19 November 2018), closing on 8 February 2019.
Drop in information sessions will take place on Monday 19 November in the Cornmill Heritage Centre, Lineside, Coalisland, BT71 4LP from 12.30pm - 5.30pm, followed by a public meeting at 6.00pm.
