Rookie Lifeguards & Junior Lifesavers
Our Rookie Lifeguard and Junior Lifesaver programmes are designed to give your child confidence in the water and skills that will benefit them throughout their life.
RLSS UK’s Rookie Lifeguard programme gives your child the skills they need to be confident in the pool or the sea – which means peace of mind for you.
Developed especially to appeal to 8 to 12 year olds, with colourful materials and fun, varied activities, the Rookie Lifeguard scheme teaches children valuable survival, rescue and sports skills, helping them to enjoy water safely, whether in shallow or deeper water.
The course can run parallel to your child’s current swimming lessons.
Rookie lifeguard takes place every Tuesday from 6.00pm to 6.45pm and costs £36 for each 12 week block (this includes end of course certification with the RLSS).
Survive and Save
RLSS UK’s Survive & Save Programme is the lifesaving awards programme for teens (12 years+). The awards are challenging but fun to complete and they are arranged into Bronze, Silver and Gold levels to ensure that you continue to develop your lifesaving skills as you progress through the awards.
The awards teach lifesaving rescue, self-rescue, survival, lifesaving sport skills and also develop swimming ability and fitness.
There are four award areas, the Medallion Awards, the Beach Awards, the Stillwater Awards and the Sport Awards and you can choose to specialise in one area or learn a broader range of skills by completing multiple awards.
Junior Lifesaver takes place at the centre every Tuesday from 6.45pm to 7.30pm and costs £60.00 for each 12 week block (includes registration with the Royal Lifesaving Society and examination/ certification fees).
