We are very fortunate to have such a strong and flourishing community and voluntary sector in Mid Ulster. This is emphasised by the impressive sum of money the Council has allocated to groups this year. Following two years of the pandemic when our much loved activities and events were cancelled, I have no doubt the money will be used by the groups to provide a diverse range of activities, programmes and events that will be enjoyed by local communities and benefit the entire district.

Grants were awarded in the following categories: Small Sports Development, Sports Capital Development, Strategic Sports Development, Community Venues, Strategic Community Development, Strategic Events, Strategic Arts & Culture, Capital Discretionary Grant and Small Arts, Culture, Heritage & Community.

The following grants are rolling programmes and can accept applications throughout the year: Sports Representative Individuals/Teams, Community Local Festival, Good Relations and Decade of Anniversaries. Applicants for these programmes are advised to submit their proposals within six weeks of their proposed project/activity to allow time for the administration process and are further recommended to contact the Council for advice on submission of applications.
