Pirates and Princesses take over Maghera Walled Garden

Bring your little ones along to the Maghera Walled Garden on Saturday 24th August and enjoy an afternoon of fun hosted by all their favourite storybook pirates and princesses.

Organised by Mid Ulster District Council, the theme of this year’s event at the Maghera Walled Garden is Pirates and Princesses. The FREE family fun day will offer a jam-packed programme of entertainment and activities for little pirates and princesses to enjoy in the beautiful surroundings of the Walled Garden from 11am-4pm.

Activities throughout the garden will include: storytelling with Belle, games and dancing with Moana, crown making with Cinderella, games with Rapunzel, princess and pirate glitter tattoos, pirate rod rides, Captain Hook pirate games, a pirate ship climbing frame, and much more!

The outdoor cinema returns again this year, as well as the popular face painting and food stalls.

Speaking about the event at the Walled Garden, Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Martin Kearney, said: “We are extremely fortunate to have such a breath-taking and unique facility in Mid Ulster and I am delighted to see the Walled Garden being used to host fun, family-oriented events. The day promises to be one not to be missed with activities sure to keep all little pirates and princesses thoroughly entertained. I look forward to attending and experiencing the buzz and atmosphere in the garden for myself.”
