Thousands attend Maghera Walled Garden event

Over 2,500 people enjoyed Mid Ulster District Council’s Pirates and Princesses event at the picturesque Maghera Walled Garden at the weekend.

Little pirates and princesses enjoyed an afternoon of free family fun in the sun with all their favourite pirate and princess characters from 11am-4pm.
Activities throughout the garden included: storytelling with Belle, games and dancing with Moana, crown making with Cinderella, games with Rapunzel, princess and pirate glitter tattoos, pirate rod rides, Captain Hook pirate games, a pirate ship climbing frame, an outdoor cinema and much more!
There were also plenty of tasty snacks available including a BBQ by St Lurach’s Church, and sweet treats by Born and Raised Waffles and Paul’s Ice Cream Van.
Parking wasn’t an issue with a free Park & Ride facility operating throughout the day from the former Maghera High School site.
