As restrictions associated with the pandemic ease, we are working to recover our services. You'll find the current status on service provision below.

Open
Limited public access - offices will fully reopen from Monday 6 July.

Leisure Centres

Gyms at Coookstown, Dungannon and Greenvale leisure centres will reopen from Wednesday 15 July.

Tobermore Golf Centre

Reopened from Tuesday 26 May.
The Centre will operate with temporary safety and fair usage regulations in place due to COVID-19 restrictions, to ensure both the health and safety of our customers and that everyone has a chance to equally enjoy the game again.

From Monday 18 May registration of births resumed, with a limited number of appointments available at Council offices following the completion of an online form. 

Cultural Facilities

> Seamus Heaney HomePlace will reopen it's exhibition and café to visitors from Friday 10 July.
> The heritage site and exhibition at Ranfurly House and The Hill of The O’Neill will reopen on Friday 31 July.

Parks and Open Spaces

Dungannon Park, Ballyronan Marina and Roundlake, Fivemiletown, together with car praks in forest sites, managed in partnership with DAERA, re-opened on Wednesday 27 May

Open, with social distancing measures in place.

Recycling Centres

Recycling centres in Cookstown, Dungannon, Magherafelt, Maghera, Tullyvar, Coalisland and Fivemiletown have re-opened for the disposal of waste, with strict access conditions in place and limited opening hours.
Cookstown: Monday - Saturday 9am - 6pm 
Dungannon: Monday - Saturday 9am - 6pm
Magherafelt: Monday - Saturday 9am – 6pm
Maghera: Monday - Saturday 8.30am - 5.30pm
Tullyvar: Monday CLOSED, Tuesday - Friday 9am - 5pm and Saturday 8.30am - 1.30pm 
Coalisland: Monday - Saturday 8.30am - 5.30pm
Fivemiletown Recycling Centre Monday 9am to 5pm, Tuesday CLOSED, Wednesday - Saturday 9am - 5pm.

The remaining recycling centres in Ballymacombs, Castledawson, Draperstown and Moneymore will re-open on Wednesady 15th July.

Ballymacombs: Monday - Thursday 9am - 4.30pm, Friday 9am - 4pm, Saturday CLOSED
Castledawson: Monday - Saturday 8.30am - 5.30pm
Draperstown: Monday - Saturday 8.30am - 5.30pm
Moneymore: Monday - Saturday 8.30am - 5.30pm

Car Parks (off street)

The Council will re-introduce parking charges in off-street car parks from Wednesday 1 July 2020.

Maghera Walled Garden

Re-opening 1 August 2020.

Public Toilets

Public toilets at Ballyronan Marina and Dungannon Park have reopened.

The Council continues to plan for the recovery of the full range of its services.

Community Help and Support

Lots of local organisations continue to offer help and support for their local communties.

We would encourage all our residents to follow the latest advice to help reduce the spread of the infection:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after using public transport. Use a sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands

  • Avoid close contact with people who are unwell

  • Always carry tissues with you and use them to catch your cough or sneeze, then bin the tissue and wash your hands (or use a sanitiser gel)
  • Maintain your social distance.
