Mid Ulster Planning Portal FAQs

What is the new Mid Ulster Planning Portal?

The Mid Ulster planning portal is a new online system which for the first time will provide an end-to-end digital service for anyone submitting or responding to a planning application in Mid Ulster.

The new portal simplifies planning processes, improves our customers’ access and experience, while also enabling our planning service to be more efficient and responsive.

What will I be able to do on the new Mid Ulster portal?

  • Make a planning application online, including the payment of planning fees.

  • View a current planning application online, including all associated documents and maps.

  • Make a submission in support of or in objection to a planning application.

  • Search for applications and decisions made since 1973.

When will it go live?

The new Mid Ulster portal will go live in June 2022.

Why has Mid Ulster District Council created its own planning portal?

The new Mid Ulster portal will be the local replacement for the existing NI-wide planning portal.

The Council decided to create a standalone planning portal for Mid Ulster because, as well as providing an enhanced service to our residents and businesses, it represented better value for money.

Can I still make a planning application using a hard copy form?

Yes. We continue to accept applications in hard copy also.
