Undergraduate Placement Programme
Our undergraduate placement programme is designed to bring highly qualified and motivated students with diverse backgrounds into the organisation to work on projects that contribute to our strategic goals or help to support the corporate functions of the Council.
Successful candidates are given a ‘hands-on’ opportunity to improve their analytical, business, and technical skills in a professional environment.

Who can apply?
Placements are open for students who:

Are enrolled in a full-time degree programme for the duration of the internship in a field or discipline related to the work of the Council

Are available for a minimum placement duration of 12 months
-
Be confident in the use of Microsoft Office applications

Demonstrate excellent communication skills
When can I apply?
Placements usually run from September to August.

What does it involve?
Successful candidates will carry out research and provide support to services across the Council, based on their chosen specialism. Services include:
Examples of work entrusted to successful candidates include:

Participating in the preparation of working papers, reports, documents, and publications

Carrying out research and reviews of existing materials, processes, and procedures

Collecting, organising, and analysing data

Participating in recruitment and selection panels

Participating in meetings and seminars
-
Contributing to the organisation of events, marketing and communication activities, planning and evaluation.
