Sean Owens, international 5 Star chef, and Norah Brown MBE, Cook with Norah, will deliver the cookery demonstrations across the weekend ensuring to make the most out of all the delicious local produce available.

The market will feature over 20 stalls of local food, produce and crafts including Ben’s Ice Cream, Ballyriff Buffalo, Fluffy Meringue, Grace Scott Pastel painting, Calm Soul Candles and Woodlab Distillery, to name only a few.

As well as the market, there will also be performances on stage throughout the weekend from a number of local bands and artists, including the popular ‘Tiny Green Island’ and ‘Copper Rose’. Musical entertainment will also take place in the bars and restaurants in the village for the duration of the market.

There’s lots to keep children entertained too with activities such as facepainting and balloon modelling taking place as well as a variety of walkabout characters to meet and greet.

Speaking about the ‘Taste Mid Ulster’ market, Chair of the Council, Councillor Dominic Molloy said,

We are very lucky in Mid Ulster to live in such a vibrant district in terms of local food, produce and craft production. The ‘Taste Mid Ulster’ market in Moy will allow us to profile this rich and diverse offering on a greater stage which will benefit not only the producers but also the visitors to the market who can snap up these unique and quality goods. The market will not only be a place to buy goods; it will be a celebration of our community's agricultural richness and culinary talent. As Chair of the Council, and as a resident of Moy myself, I encourage you to come along to the market, browse the selection of stalls, savour the aromas, and connect with the passionate individuals who will bring this exceptional produce to our homes.

“By supporting the local market, you will not only ensure the freshest and finest produce for your family but also contribute to the prosperity of our local businesses and producers. Together, let's cultivate a healthier, more sustainable future for our district.”

The market will take place from 11am-7pm on Saturday 9 March and from 1pm-5pm on Sunday 10 March.
