Successful first ‘Taste Mid Ulster’ Market at Moy

Large crowds turned out to enjoy Mid Ulster District Council’s first ever ‘Taste Mid Ulster’ Market at Moy over the weekend.

The successful market, organised by the Council, showcased the very best of Mid Ulster’s local food, produce and crafts from all across the district.

Sean Owens, international 5 Star chef, and Norah Brown MBE, delivered cookery demonstrations across the weekend ensuring to make the most out of all the delicious local produce on offer.

The market featured over 20 stalls of local food, produce and crafts including Ben’s Ice Cream, Ballyriff Buffalo, Fluffy Meringue, Grace Scott Pastel painting, Calm Soul Candles and Woodlab Distillery, to name only a few.

As well as the market, there were also performances on stage throughout the weekend from a number of local bands and artists, including the popular ‘Tiny Green Island’ and ‘Copper Rose’. Musical entertainment also took place in the bars and restaurants in the village for the duration of the market.

There was also lots to keep children entertained too with activities such as facepainting and balloon modelling taking place as well as a variety of walkabout characters to meet and greet.

The market took place from 11am-7pm on Saturday 9 March and from 1pm-5pm on Sunday 10 March.
