Book of Condolence Opened For Bondi Beach Victims

Mid Ulster District Council has opened a Book of Condolence in memory of the victims of the attack in Bondi Beach, Sydney which happened last weekend.

Chair of the Council, Cllr Frances Burton said,

"Our prayers and deepest compassion are with all those in Australia, and indeed worldwide, affected by the tragic and shocking act of violence at Bondi Beach. This attack struck a community gathered in faith to celebrate Hanukkah, a sacred time in the Jewish calendar that proclaims light, hope, and God’s enduring presence. We mourn for the victims and their families and reject the hatred that has caused such suffering.”

Physical Books of Condolence are now open at the Burnavon, Cookstown; the Hill of the O'Neill and Ranfurly House, Dungannon; and The Bridewell, Magherafelt.
