10p parking promotion returns to Dungannon and Magherafelt
This month sees the return of the Christmas parking promotion at Council owned pay and display car parks in Dungannon and Magherafelt from Saturday, 22 November.
Parking in the following car parks, Magherafelt: Rainey Street & Union Road and Dungannon: Castlehill, Scotch Street North, Perry Street West & Anne Street East will be reduced to 10p for the first three hours in a special price reduction running in Dungannon and Magherafelt from Saturday, 22 November 2025 to Saturday, 3 January 2026.
Chair of the Council, Councillor Frances Burton, said the promotion will benefit both shoppers and town centre traders at one of the busiest times of the year, saying:
I’m delighted to see the return of our popular 10p parking promotion in Dungannon and Magherafelt this festive season. From Saturday, 22 November right through to Saturday, 3 January, visitors can enjoy parking for just 10p for the first three hours in Council-owned pay and display car parks in both towns. This initiative is all about supporting our town centres, encouraging people to shop local, dine local, and experience all that our vibrant towns have to offer during this busy Christmas period. It’s a great way to back our local businesses and make it easier for everyone to enjoy what makes Mid Ulster such a fantastic place to live, work and visit.
The 10p for the first 3 hours parking applies in Council owned pay and display car parks in Dungannon and Magherafelt. Normal parking charges will apply after the 3 hours. Off street car parking in Cookstown town centre is free of charge.
