Vision, Impact, Lead: The Cornerstones of Success this Enterprise Week 2025

Mid Ulster District Council’s Enterprise Week returns this year from Monday 17 – Friday 21 November.

During the week, 14 events for local businesses, both online and in person, will take place. This year’s theme, Vision, Impact, Lead, is all about celebrating the journey of local businesses - how they’re looking ahead with fresh ideas, making a real difference in their communities and industries, and stepping up to lead with purpose and confidence - all key ingredients for long-term success.

We’re setting the stage with our first event, ‘Power Up Mid Ulster: Grants, Growth and Guidance’ which will explore how businesses can access support and funding to fuel their growth.

Join broadcaster and journalist, Donna Traynor, alongside panellists, including Celine McCartan, South West College; Janet Toal, InterTrade Ireland; Ruth Robinson, Full Circle Management Solutions; and Ciaran O’Kane, Invest NI as they share invaluable insights into what guidance and funding is available from support organisations - all under one roof in the Conference and Recreation Centre, CAFRE Loughry Campus, Cookstown.

Enterprise Week’s online events will help boost your business’s marketing expertise and increase online exposure; with webinars like ‘SEO Secrets for Small Businesses’ with digital marketing experts Digital 24, ‘Cracking the Code: How to Make your Business go Viral’ led by Niamh MacAuley from Purple Dot Media and Safron Thomas from Prana Digital, and ‘The Numbers That Matter: Understanding Your Business Finance Without the Jargon’ with Annette Kilpatrick from CooperParry.

Other webinars will explore local success stories including young entrepreneur Stephen Beattie, Seed Salads and acclaimed chef Niall McKenna, Waterman House.

Join us for ‘Beyond Business: Journeys and Wisdom from Women Entrepreneurs’, an inspiring event where real stories meet practical guidance to empower and inform. Hosted by well-known broadcaster Lynette Fay, you’ll hear firsthand from a panel of Mid Ulster female entrepreneurs who will share their expertise and advice on achieving a balance between personal experience and business insight. Taking place at Corick House Hotel and Spa, Clogher, this event is the perfect opportunity to focus on you and your business’s growth.

Be part of NI Chamber’s hugely popular Regional Networking Series with NIE at the Burnavon – a unique opportunity to grow your professional network and gain fresh insights from leaders beyond your own industry.

From financial guidance and AI to marketing and the economy, Mid Ulster Enterprise Week has you covered.

Launching this year’s Enterprise Week, Councillor Frances Burton, Chair of the Council, said:

As Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, I am proud to support the launch of our seventh annual Enterprise Week — a flagship initiative that showcases and supports the incredible talent, innovation, and resilience of our local business community. This year’s theme, ‘Vision, Impact, Lead’, speaks directly to the qualities that define Mid Ulster’s entrepreneurs and business leaders. Whether you're a new start-up finding your feet, an established company seeking to grow, or an individual with ambition and drive, Enterprise Week offers a unique platform to access expert insights, build valuable networks, and explore new opportunities. I encourage all local businesses to get involved, attend the events, and make the most of what’s on offer. Enterprise Week is about more than just business — it’s about building a stronger, more connected, and more prosperous Mid Ulster for everyone.

Tadgh Hickey, AICC and facilitator of the ‘AI: The Rules of the Game’ webinar, added, “I am excited to deliver the ‘AI: The Rules of the Game’ webinar, discussing how Artificial Intelligence is reshaping industries and how ethical accountability, supported by adaptive governance, is key to navigating new and emerging regulatory requirements.”

Renée Quinn, Executive Director, PIPS Suicide Prevention Ireland, commented:
“Mid Ulster Enterprise Week is always packed with fantastic events and webinars, and this year is no different. I am really looking forward to sharing my journey as a charity leader with my fellow panellists, Aisling Bremner, Wild and Free Outdoors and Bertha Ashfield and Yasmin Giffin, Daisy Lane at the ‘Beyond Business’ event for women. I would love to see all types of females in businesses across Mid Ulster coming to this fabulous event.”
