International Spring Market Returns to Cookstown This May

Cookstown is preparing to welcome back the popular International Spring Market this May, bringing a vibrant mix of global flavours, unique crafts and lively entertainment to the heart of the town.
Taking place on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 May, William Street will be transformed into a bustling open-air market, with traders travelling from across Europe and beyond. Visitors can enjoy a rich variety of international cuisine, from freshly cooked street food to indulgent sweet treats, alongside a wide selection of handcrafted goods and artisan products.

Deputy Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Denise Johnston, said:

The International Spring Market is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the diversity and vibrancy of our town centre right in the heart of Mid Ulster. It’s always great to see William Street come alive with a wide range of traders and visitors coming together, creating a real buzz across Cookstown. I would encourage everyone to come along, soak up the atmosphere and support this much-loved event.

The weekend event will also feature live music and family-friendly entertainment, ensuring there is plenty to enjoy for visitors of all ages. Whether you’re looking to sample new cuisines, pick up a unique gift, or simply spend time with family and friends, the market offers something for everyone.

Opening Hours: Saturday 10am – 8pm; Sunday 11am – 5pm

To support the safe delivery of the event, a road closure will be in place along William Street from 6.00pm on Friday 8 May until approximately 10.00pm on Sunday 10 May. The closure will run from the Orritor Street/Coagh Street junction to the Burn Road/James Street junction.
