Taste Mid Ulster Restaurant Week To Return

Taste Mid Ulster Restaurant Week returns from 7 - 13 March with a packed programme of special menus, events and dining experiences celebrating the people, places and produce at the heart of the district’s thriving food scene.

Led by Mid Ulster District Council, the week-long initiative invites food lovers to get out and explore the exceptional range of restaurants across the area, each serving up dishes that champion fresh, locally sourced ingredients and the creativity of local chefs.

From curated tasting menu evenings and unique food pairings to hearty favourites, demonstrations and masterclasses, Taste Mid Ulster Restaurant Week promises something to suit every palate and pocket. The event offers the perfect excuse to try somewhere new, rediscover a local favourite and support the hospitality businesses that play such an important role in the district.

Participating restaurants include Ardtara Country House, The Gasworks, The Blacksheep, The Castledawson Inn, Friels Bar & Restaurant, Dorman’s Bar & Restaurant, Mary’s Bar and Restaurant, Glenavon House Hotel – Cellar Restaurant, The Tailor’s House, Corick House Hotel & Spa, The Tap House,  The Hungry Goat, The Brewers House and The Lazy Llama, with more venues to be announced in the lead-up to the event.

Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Frances Burton, said:

“Taste Mid Ulster Restaurant Week is a celebration of the passion and talent within our local hospitality sector. Across the district, our chefs and restaurant teams are creating outstanding food experiences using quality local produce, and this week shines a well-deserved spotlight on their work. I would encourage everyone to take the opportunity to dine out, try something different and support our fantastic local businesses.”

Taste Mid Ulster Food Ambassador Bronagh Duffin added: “Mid Ulster has an incredible food story to tell, and Restaurant Week is a brilliant way to showcase it. Our chefs are proud to work with local farmers, growers and producers to create menus that are full of flavour and rooted in the seasons. By choosing to dine locally, people are directly supporting that network and experiencing the very best produce our area has to offer.”
