Coalisland Summer Bash Draws Big Crowds for a Day of Family Fun
Huge crowds turned up yesterday, Sunday, 17 May to enjoy the much-anticipated return of the Coalisland Summer Bash, organised by Mid Ulster District Council.
The vibrant community event, held at the Shared Space, Lineside, coincided with the popular Newell Stores 10K and 5K run, creating a buzzing atmosphere across the town.
During the event, visitors, runners and supporters enjoyed a host of free family friendly activities including face painting, walkabout characters, large games and the return of the very popular bubble bike with hundreds of bubbles a minute.
Live performances kept spirits high throughout the day, with music from Stevie King who welcomed and entertained families along with live music from Frank McKernan, The Solo Set; Coalisland Clonoe Comhaltas, and dance performances from JD Dance.
The Deputy Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Denise Johnston, was in attendance and took the opportunity to meet with attendees and enjoy the day’s festivities.
The Coalisland Summer Bash marks another successful community celebration, bringing people together for a memorable day of fun, music and local pride.
