Families enjoy a fantastic day of fun at The Great Garden Adventure in Maghera
Maghera Walled Garden was transformed into a hub of family fun and adventure yesterday, as large numbers of families turned out to enjoy The Great Garden Adventure, organised by Mid Ulster District Council.
The free family event provided an afternoon packed with entertainment, activities, games and opportunities for children and families to explore, play and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Maghera Walled Garden.
There was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day, with plenty of smiling faces, laughter and happy families making the most of everything on offer. From fun and interactive activities to entertainment, food and community activities, there was something for everyone to enjoy.The weather was also kind to the event, providing the perfect backdrop for families to spend quality time together outdoors and enjoy a memorable afternoon in Maghera.
The Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Deirdre Varsani, attended the event and was delighted to see so many families taking part.

It was wonderful to see so many families enjoying themselves, with smiling faces, lots of laughter and children getting involved in all the activities on offer. The Great Garden Adventure was designed to help families spend quality time together, enjoy the outdoors, and make wonderful memories, and I think yesterday certainly achieved that.
“I would like to thank everyone who came along and helped make the event such a success, including our staff, performers, activity providers, local food traders and everyone behind the scenes who worked so hard to bring the adventure to life.”
