Mid Ulster Youth Voice

Mid Ulster District Council is seeking Youth Voice members to represent the voices of young people across Mid Ulster.

Young People aged 15 – 18 years old who live in the district are invited to register to be part of Mid Ulster Youth Voice. This one year programme is managed by the Council in Partnership with the Education Authority Youth Service.
Youth Voice will provide young people with the opportunity to:

  • Engage with key decision makers

  • Have their say on local issues

  • Meet new friends

  • Be a representative voice for young people in their area

  • Be involved and pro-actively engaged with local decision-making processes

Mid Ulster Youth Voice will meet on a regular basis to identify and take forward common issues relating to young people in the local area along with opportunities for residentials and to participate in study visits to UK or Ireland.

Please complete the online application form to register. The deadline for applications is Friday 3 November at 12 noon.

The first meeting will take place on Monday 6 November at 5pm at Magherafelt Youth Club.

Everyone is invited to apply regardless of background, abilities or interests. We require representatives from right across the geographical spread and underrepresented groups to ensure the diverse needs of young people in the area are heard.
