PLATO MID ULSTER – A New Growth Opportunity for Mid Ulster Businesses

Mid Ulster businesses are invited to join a new Programme to help drive their business growth in an ever competitive market place with support from local entrepreneurs which will:

  • Enhance business performance and competitiveness
  • Increase your local and regional network base
  • Provide a monthly Forum for owners /managers to develop management skills; and,
  • Facilitate sharing of experiences and resources.

Membership fee: €300 per business (Programme is part-funded by Council)

If you’d like more information about this Programme, contact Dr Cecilia Hegarty (Co-ordinator) cecilia@platoebr.com or tel: 00 353 86022 7123 or visit www.platoebr.com to request a call back.

PLATO consists of four Enterprise Offices and County Councils in Cavan, Louth, Meath and Monaghan and two Northern Ireland partners, Newry, Mourne and Down District Council and Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.

Mid Ulster District Council has commissioned consultants to undertake a research study relating to the engineering sector in Mid Ulster. While the value of the Mid Ulster engineering sector and the issues impacting on its growth are widely recognised, there is currently no data to evidence this to highlight the needs of the sector or to help the Council and others lobby for interventions and funding to support the sector.

This Study offers us a unique opportunity to collate this data and get an accurate picture of your sector and the success of this project is entirely dependent on the information we collect.

At present, the Council, along with other stakeholders such as Invest NI, Manufacturing NI etc., considers that there is a lack of information on the manufacturing and engineering sector in the Mid Ulster area and, as part of the research, the Council is seeking us to, amongst other things, ascertain the views of local businesses as part of this important research.

For the purposes of this research, we are solely focusing on your business’ office/facility based in the Mid Ulster District Council area.

We would be really grateful if you could spare just 5-10 minutes to complete that attached questionnaire by 1pm Tuesday 10th April 2018, by CLICKING HERE

The results of the questionnaire will be fed into the overall research which be used to identify and quantify the key issues, gaps and potential opportunities facing your sector over the next 5 years and recommend actions required to address these, to help Council and other bodies to lobby for funding and other initiatives to support the sector’s growth.

This survey is conducted in utmost confidence, which guarantees confidentiality and anonymity. Under no circumstances will you be identified or associated with particular survey responses in Cogent’s subsequent report.

We really do hope that you will support this important research; thank you for your time.
