Go Wild at Maghera Walled Garden

Let your little ones ‘Go Wild’ at Maghera Walled Garden on Saturday 25 June, for an afternoon of free family fun exploring the garden with our wilderness training experts, Penelope Parks and Elliott Evergreen.
 
Organised by Mid Ulster District Council, the theme of this year’s event at the Maghera Walled Garden is Go Wild. The free family fun day will offer lots of entertainment and activities for your little wilderness explorers to enjoy from 11am - 4pm. 
 
Throughout the event, children will get the opportunity to train as a wildlife explorer through sports workshops, enjoy puppet shows and interactive games with Penelope Parks and Elliott Evergreen, join the Jitterbug Jive through dance workshops, meet creepy crawlies and cool critters, plant their own sunflower seed to take home and watch grow, get messy with sensory play, solve puzzles with fun and games in the garden and have their faces painted.
 
There will also be food traders available to purchase from including, BBQ food, hot coffee and sweet treats, ice cream, crepes, and a chocolate fountain.
 
Encouraging families to ‘Go Wild’ at the Walled Garden, Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Paul McLean said:

We are extremely fortunate to have such a breath-taking and unique facility right here in Mid Ulster, and I’m delighted to see the Walled Garden being used to host fun, family-oriented events. The day promises to be one not to be missed, with activities sure to keep your little wilderness explorers thoroughly entertained. Free tickets must be pre-booked via Eventbrite to gain access to this event. Please complete the order form, registering for one free ticket for every person attending, including children.
