Live Here Love Here Small Grants Scheme Now Open
Local charity Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful, in partnership with Mid Ulster District Council, nine other local Councils and Northern Ireland Housing Executive has opened its Live Here Love Here Small Grants scheme.
Communities here can benefit from £500 to £3000 to improve their environment and promote a cleaner, greener and safer place to live, as well as environmentally focused actions that help support people impacted through reduced contact with society, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Small Grants Scheme, which is now in its eighth year, is part of the successful Live Here Love Here programme. Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Cathal Mallaghan is encouraging community groups across the district to apply, he said:
The Live Here Love Here Small Grants scheme has funded many community projects over the last 7 years which have helped to improve our environment and make it a greener and safer place to live. This year given the COVID-19 pandemic, they are open to any creative application that can help support environmentally focused actions and people impacted by the pandemic through reduced contact with society. I would encourage community and voluntary groups across Mid Ulster to consider applying to this grant programme.
Guidance notes for the Small Grants scheme and the link to complete an online application form can be found online. The closing date for applications is Monday 10th May 2021 at 12 Noon.
