Dungannon Leisure Centre Stripped Out For £1.8M Investment

Dungannon Leisure Centre has been stripped out in preparation for its new look, as the £1.8M investment by Mid Ulster District Council progresses.

The centre’s swimming pools, fitness suite, changing facilities and reception area will all benefit from upgrades as a result of the work which is now underway and due to complete on time this autumn.

Renovations to the pool will include new tiling, pool linings, surrounds, filters and structural work, while the gym will be fitted out with a completely new range of fitness equipment and the centre’s squash court will also be revamped.

Commenting on the progress to date, Chair of the Council’s Development Committee, Councillor Trevor Wilson, said:

“These renovations represent a significant investment in leisure in Dungannon and will give a very welcome boost to the centre.

“Work is on track and on time and I look forward to getting regular updates on the progress being made to the building and its infrastructure in advance of its re-opening in the autumn”.

Leisure centre customers can keep up-to-date with the latest news on the refurbishment programme at or on the Centre’s Facebook page.
