The free event is aimed at senior business leaders in the Mid Ulster area and will focus on the key themes of strategic decision making, and talent and skills development.
IoD’s Chartered Director, Simon Haslam, a specialist in organisational strategy and strategic marketing and a member of the advisory council for the Institute of Consulting, will be providing valuable insights into effective organisational decision-making. A panel of local business leaders will also take part in a q&a session on their experiences, and also the challenges and opportunities for skills development in the Mid Ulster area.
The event is being supported by Mid Ulster District Council as part of its skills strategy for the region. Alan McKeown, IoD NI committee member and chairman of Mid Ulster District Council’s Skills Forum said:
“Mid Ulster was the first council area to develop a business-led skills action plan, and this event delivers an important part of our plan to help improve strategic leadership skills in the Mid Ulster area. Events of this nature are rarely held outside of Belfast so this represents a great opportunity for local business leaders to network and hear at first hand from one of the country’s leading strategy trainers. I would highly recommend this IoD event for any business considering its next big strategic step.”
The invitation is open to all Mid Ulster business leaders irrespective of whether they are an IoD member. For more information or to confirm attendance please contact Mr Grant McCann of the IoD at firstname.lastname@example.org.
