Move More With New Council Leisure Membership

Residents in Mid Ulster will for the first time ever be given access to all four district Leisure Centres under the new household membership package introduced by the Council this month.

Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Cathal Mallaghan welcomed the introduction of the new membership option saying,

“Mid Ulster District Council is providing its residents with the opportunity to move more, wherever they are. With our new household membership families, for the first time ever, will gain access to not just one, but all four main leisure centres across the district in Cookstown, Dungannon, Maghera and Magherafelt.

“By providing access to a wide variety of activity on a multi-centre basis, we’re ensuring that access to our gyms, swimming and fitness activities represents even better value for money than ever before. At the same time, the introduction of a monthly DD option allows households to spread the cost over the year without paying anything extra.”

The membership allows households to use leisure facilities in Cookstown, Dungannon, Maghera and Magherafelt on a flexible basis, and includes unlimited access in all four sites to swimming pools, health suites, gyms, Council operated fitness classes and soft play areas. Free access to one week of holiday camps (with the exception of Maghera Leisure Centre) is also included.
