Mid Ulster Groups Receive Community Festival Funding
Eighteen community groups across Mid Ulster have received over £12k in grant funding, under the 2022-2023 Community Festival Grant Fund.
The Community Festival Grant is a rolling grant through Mid Ulster District Council’s annual grant programme, which community groups and organisations across Mid Ulster can apply for on-line until January 2023.
The threshold for this grant is £1200 and applications should be submitted 6 weeks in advance of the project/activity taking place. The Community Festival Grant aims to support local communities to deliver a local festival in their area, bringing people from across the area together.
Chair of the Council’s Development Committee, Councillor Sean Clarke said:
The Council’s grants programme is essential in supporting our community and voluntary groups to run successfully across the district. I’m pleased to see that 18 groups have benefited from the Community Festival Grant fund and will be able to run festivals for the enjoyment of our residents. I would encourage other groups to apply for this rolling grant if you are planning on running a festival in the near future.
