Cookstown Recycling Centre

Opening hours from 6 April 2021:
Monday, Friday and Saturday 8.30am - 5.30pm
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8.30am - 7.30pm


Members of the public are asked to visit the recycling centre only:

  • if they are unable to use their existing bins to dispose of their waste and material for recycling and cannot store excess waste safely at home
  • if they are able to lift their waste directly into the site’s skips and containers

A traffic management system will be in place to ensure a limited and safe number of vehicles are in the sites at any one time. Social distancing measures will also be in place.


Please note that the last admission to recycling centres is 10 minutes before closing time.

Please sort your recyclables before you visit.  Disposable of recyclable items in the waste skips is no longer acceptable.
