Consultation on Draft Equality Scheme and Related Action Plans

The Council is consulting on its revised Equality Scheme and associated Equality and Disability Action Plans for 2026-31.  The plans detail how the council intends to promote equality of opportunity, positive attitudes towards disabled people and encourage participation of disabled people in public life.

The survey closes at 12 noon on Monday 23 March.

What happens next?

Commentary received will inform us on the further development and finalisation of the Draft Equality Scheme, Disability Action Plan and Draft Equality Action Plan, due to be published in 2026.
