50 businesses attend 3rd Mid Ulster Digital Seminar!

23 November 2017

Over 50 businesses from a range of sectors across Mid Ulster, recently attended the third and final free Digital Business Seminar.

The ‘Achieving Online Growth through Content Marketing’ seminar was funded by Mid Ulster District Council, delivered by 42Digital and took place in The Elk, Toomebridge.

The main focus of the seminar was to provide businesses with guidance and advice on how to create content that would enable them to connect with their customers, in a meaningful way along their path to purchase.

The event opened with an informal Q&A session with leading digital experts, Peter McNicholl from Flying on Facebook, Kathryn Pyper from KP Digital Marketing and local businessman Pete Campbell from Find Your Body with Pete, who outlined his business’s successful digital journey.

Workshops then followed with each digital expert. Peter McNicholl demonstrated how to create personalised video content for Facebook designed to boost local awareness and generate sales; While Kathryn Pyper provided a step by step guide on the best tools for a business to use in creating content.

The Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Kim Ashton said, “It’s fantastic to see such a great turnout for the final Digital Seminar this year. The Council wants to ensure our events have a clear practical focus and provide businesses with the support they need, in this case to learn new digital skills. I would like to thank 42Digital for delivering three great events and bringing together an impressive range of speakers.”

Businesses attending were very impressed with the seminar content, commenting:

“A well-structured and informative event”; “I’m now aware of the apps that can help me revamp videos before posting to Facebook”; “Great advice on using videos and apps to generate more interest and brand awareness”; “The live demos were very useful and practical”; and “An excellent morning.”

Daryl Conway, 42 Digital noted, “Today proved that content marketing is without doubt an essential component for businesses to build meaningful relationships with their customers and can provide great opportunities for business online growth. I hope that everyone who attended the last three Digital Business Seminars found them informative and useful.”
