Local people are being invited to have a Christmas cuppa with the Chair of Mid Ulster District Council next week in aid of the Southern Area Hospice.
Councillor Linda Dillon will be hosting a fundraising coffee morning next Friday (27 November), together with a ‘Light Up A Life’ ceremony at the Christmas tree outside the council offices in Dungannon.
As well as coffee and cake, Christmas cards will also be on sale and Dungannon Primary School choir will be singing carols at the tree
“I have had family members and friends who have had to use the hospice, so I have seen at first hand the amazing service that the staff and volunteers offer in the hospice. This is a vital service for our community to support patients and their families".
“All the services are free of charge, but to maintain the level of care, more than £2M is needed annually and every penny we raise at the coffee morning will make a difference. I hope to see local people come out and support a very worthy cause”.
The coffee morning fundraiser takes place on Friday 27 November from 10am to 11.30am in the Council offices, Circular Road, Dungannon. The lights ceremony will take place at 11.00am. Everyone is welcome.
